Watch Genie Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to information when you use Watch Genie and when you visit its website. Watch Genie is published by Vilasi, Inc., a North Carolina corporation. If you have a question, email us at robert@vilasigrowth.com.
What you enter stays on your device
Watch Genie has no accounts. Your collection, wishlist, photos, notes, purchase prices, service dates, wear log, wrist size and finder answers are saved in your browser’s storage on the device you are using. They are not uploaded to us, and we do not receive them.
Because we never have a copy, we cannot recover this information if you clear your browser data, uninstall the app, lose your device or switch to a new one. Use Export backup on the More screen to save a file you control, and Import backup to restore it. Erase all removes everything Watch Genie stored on the device.
Photos you add come from your own camera or photo library. They are resized and stored on your device with the rest of your entries, and they are included in backups you export.
Links and affiliate disclosure
Watch Genie shows links to brand websites, retailers and pre-owned marketplaces so you can look for a watch. When you follow one, you leave Watch Genie and the other site’s own privacy policy and terms apply.
Some links may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, Vilasi, Inc. may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. An affiliate partner may learn that you arrived from Watch Genie. Prices and availability vary, and you should verify authenticity and the seller’s reputation before you buy.
Watch Genie is not affiliated with any watch brand. Brand names are trademarks of their respective owners.
Visits to our website
When you visit the Watch Genie website, the hosting service we use loads a visitor-identification tool. It stores an identifier in your browser, records the pages you view, and may match your visit with information from third-party data providers, which can include contact and demographic details, so we can recognize visitors and follow up. It may also use advertising-measurement tools from companies such as Meta and Google. A notice on the website lets you opt out, and we treat a browser Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out. Visitors in Europe and the UK are asked before anything runs. You can also opt out, or ask what we hold about you, by emailing us at the address above. This applies to the website, not to what you enter in the app.
Purchases
If you buy Watch Genie Collector in the iPhone or Android app, Apple or Google handles the payment. We never see your card or bank details.
To check and restore what you have bought, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. as our purchase processor. RevenueCat receives a random app user ID created on your device, the store receipt, the product bought, purchase and renewal dates, price and currency, your country or region, and basic device and app version details. This purchase information is linked to that random ID, not to your name or email, is used only to provide and restore your purchases, and is never used for advertising or tracking. Your collection, photos and notes are never sent with it. When the app opens, it checks your membership and loads plan prices through RevenueCat using that random ID, even if you never buy anything.
You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account or Google Play settings, and use Restore Purchases on the plans screen on a new device. To ask for purchase records to be deleted, write to us at the address below.
Your choices
- Export, import or erase your Watch Genie data at any time from the More screen.
- Clear your browser’s site data to remove everything stored for this website, including the visitor identifier described above.
- Opt out of website visitor identification using the notice on the website, a Global Privacy Control signal, or by emailing robert@vilasigrowth.com.
- Ask us what information we hold about you from website visits, or ask us to delete it, by emailing the same address.
Children
Watch Genie is meant for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above. If a change is significant, we will also note it in the app.
