Santa Signal Privacy Policy

What you enter stays on your device

Santa Signal has no accounts. What a parent adds, including the family name, children's nicknames, age ranges and avatars, the city you type, points, wish lists, letters, drawings, photos and the grown-up PIN, is saved in your browser or phone storage on your device. We do not receive it and the app does not upload it. Because it lives only on your device, we cannot recover it for you. Use More, then Privacy and your data, to download a backup. Clearing browser data or deleting the app erases it.

Photos and drawings

When you choose a photo or drawing, it is read by the app on your device and saved there. It is not sent to us.

Location

The app never asks for your device location. The sleigh story uses only the city you type.

Children

Santa Signal is designed for parents to use with their children. Children do not have accounts, profiles or logins, cannot chat with anyone, and can only write letters that a parent reviews. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Information about your children stays on your device.

Visits to our website

When you visit the Santa Signal website, the hosting service we use loads a script that may store an identifier in your browser and record pages viewed. We have turned off visitor identification for this site, so visits are not matched to names or contact details. This applies to the website, not to what you enter in the app.

Purchases

Santa Signal is free to use. A grown-up can buy the North Pole Family membership inside the app; purchase screens appear only in grown-up mode, behind your PIN, and are never shown to children.

Payments are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your card or payment details.

To know which plan is active on your devices, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. as our purchase processor. RevenueCat receives the purchase record from the store (which product, when it was bought and when it renews or ends) together with a random app ID created on your device. It does not receive your name, email, your children’s information, letters, pictures or anything else you enter. Purchase information is used only to provide what you bought, not for advertising or tracking, and is not sold.

You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account or Google Play settings, and use Restore Purchases (More, then Membership) on a new device. To ask for purchase records to be deleted, write to us at the address below.

Your choices

You can download or delete everything at any time under More, then Privacy and your data. You can also write to us with any question.

Changes

If we add accounts, syncing or anything that sends information off your device, we will update this policy first and ask before it applies to you.
