Face Forward Privacy Policy

Face Forward is published by Vilasi, Inc., a North Carolina corporation ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to the information you use with the Face Forward app and website. If you have questions, email robert@vilasigrowth.com.

What you enter stays on your device

Face Forward stores what you enter in your browser's storage on the device you are using. It is not uploaded to us or to anyone else. This includes:

• your optional name and headshot photo;
• your profile details: skin depth, undertone, skin type, face shape, eye shape, lip shape, hair color and the concerns you choose;
• your saved makeup plans and checklist progress;
• your saved lessons and stage looks, and your skincare choices;
• your appearance setting.

Because we never receive this information, we cannot see it, and we cannot recover it for you if your browser's data is cleared, you uninstall the app, or your device is lost. Use Export backup in Profile and settings to save a copy you control, and Import backup to restore it. A backup file contains your photo, so keep it somewhere safe. You can delete everything at any time with Erase everything.

Your photo

If you add a headshot, it is resized and stored on your device so it can sit beside your plans. Face Forward does not analyze your photo or detect your features; you describe them yourself in the profile steps. The photo is never sent to us.

Links and affiliate disclosure

Face Forward includes links that search other retailers, such as Sephora, Ulta, Amazon and Target, for the type of product a step needs. When you follow a link, you leave Face Forward, and that retailer's own privacy policy applies to what you do there. Some links may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, Vilasi, Inc. may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The retailer may record that you arrived through our link.

Visits to our website

When you visit the Face Forward website, the hosting service we use loads a visitor-identification tool. It stores an identifier in your browser, records the pages you view, and may match your visit with information from third-party data providers, which can include contact and demographic details, so we can recognize visitors and follow up. It may also use advertising-measurement tools from companies such as Meta and Google. A notice on the website lets you opt out, and we treat a browser Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out. Visitors in Europe and the UK are asked before anything runs. You can also opt out, or ask what we hold about you, by emailing us at the address above. This applies to the website, not to what you enter in the app.

Purchases

If you buy a subscription or an in-app purchase in the iPhone or Android app, the payment is handled by Apple or Google. We never see your card details. To know what you have bought on any of your devices, the app uses RevenueCat, a service that keeps a record of your purchases (product, date, store receipt) linked to a random app user ID. It does not include your name or email, and it is not used for advertising or tracking.

Your choices

• Use the app without adding a photo or a name; both are optional.
• Edit your profile, delete individual plans, or erase everything from Profile and settings.
• Opt out of the website visitor tools using the notice on the website, a Global Privacy Control signal, or by emailing us.
• Email us to ask what information we hold about you from website visits, or to ask us to delete it.

Children

Face Forward is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date above. If a change affects how we handle your information in a significant way, we will tell you in the app or on the website.
