Where I Pray Support
How is my daily verse chosen?
When you set up the app you choose what fills your days, your family situation and what you are carrying right now. Each morning the app picks a verse from our curated list that speaks to those choices. A verse will not repeat until you have seen every verse chosen for you. Change your choices any time in Settings, Your situation.
Which psalm and proverb do I get?
The daily psalm moves through all 150 psalms, one a day. The optional daily Proverb is the chapter that matches the day of the month, so on the 15th you read Proverbs 15.
I am not getting my reminder.
Open Settings in the app and make sure the daily reminder is on. Then check that notifications are allowed for Where I Pray in your device's settings. On Android, battery-saving modes can delay notifications.
Where is my prayer journal (After Amen) saved?
Only on your device. There is no account or cloud copy, so if you delete the app or change phones, your journal does not move with it.
Which Bible translation does the app use?
The Berean Standard Bible (BSB) by default. You can switch to the King James Version (KJV) in Settings, Bible translation, or with the BSB / KJV switch above any passage. Both are public domain. Everything you read, share and listen to follows your choice.
How do reading plans work?
Open Reading plans from the home screen and start any plan: Bible in a Year, New Testament in 90 Days, Psalms & Proverbs in a Month, Gospels in 30 Days, or a topical plan such as Peace for an Anxious Heart or When Money Is Tight. Check off each day as you read. Your streak counts the days in a row you read. If you fall behind, read extra days or tap Catch up to move your schedule so you pick up today where you left off; nothing you have read is lost. You can pause, resume or restart a plan, follow several plans at once, and set a reminder time for each.
How does Listen mode work?
Tap Listen on any passage or plan day. Passages recorded by Robert Clinton, MD play his recording and are marked "Read by Robert Clinton, MD": all 474 key verses and every Psalm and Proverb, in both the BSB and the KJV. Everything else is read aloud by your phone's built-in voice. Listen mode plays the whole day's readings in a row, and you can change the speed (0.75x to 1.25x) or set a sleep timer. Recordings show controls on your lock screen.
Are both translations recorded?
Yes. Dr. Clinton recorded the key verses, all 150 Psalms and all 31 Proverbs in the Berean Standard Bible and again in the King James Version. A recording only plays with the translation it was read from, so the words you hear always match the words on screen. Chapter recordings download the first time you play them and then stay on your phone for listening offline.
What does After Amen, the prayer journal, show?
Each prayer you write or dictate is shown as a short prayer list, grouped by the person or group you prayed for, with topics and a verse to pray over again. The summary is worked out on your phone; your words are kept as you wrote them behind "Show my words".
What is Music and Meditate?
From the home screen, open Music and Meditate. Twelve worship and classical pieces (Amazing Grace, Bach, Pachelbel's Canon in D, Satie and more) play one after another, with lock-screen controls. Each piece streams the first time and then stays on your phone. Meditate shows quiet outdoor scenery with a verse over it for about 25 seconds at a time; swipe to move between verses, pick a topic such as Peace, Hope or Comfort, or choose a plain dark background. The screen stays on while you meditate.
What is Books and Study?
Books and Study lists Dr. Clinton's books and the study guides and leader's guides that go with them, other apps from Vilasi, and free Bible-study resources. Book links open the BookSpace or Lulu store page in your browser; nothing is sold inside the app.
Does the app need the internet?
No for reading: both Bibles are inside the app. The internet is used only to download a chapter recording or music piece the first time you play it, the Meditate scenery photos, and the latest Books and Study list. After that they work offline.
How do I erase my data?
In Settings, tap Erase all my data. This removes your choices, history, favorites and journal from the device.
