Gift Pilot Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Gift Pilot does with information. Vilasi, Inc. is a North Carolina corporation. Questions: robert@vilasigrowth.com.
What you enter stays on your device
Gift Pilot has no accounts. The people, sizes, notes, occasions, gift ideas, links and prices you add are saved in your browser or phone storage on your device. We do not receive them and the app does not upload them. Because they live only on your device, we cannot recover them for you. Use the export option under Your data to keep a backup. Clearing browser data or deleting the app erases them.
Links to stores and affiliate links
Gift ideas can link to retailers. When you open a link, that retailer's own privacy policy applies. Some links may be affiliate links, which means Vilasi, Inc. may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. Prices shown are estimates and may differ at the store.
Visits to our website
When you visit the Gift Pilot website, the hosting service we use loads a visitor-identification tool. It stores an identifier in your browser, records the pages you view, and may match your visit with information from third-party data providers, which can include contact and demographic details, so we can recognize visitors and follow up. It may also use advertising-measurement tools from companies such as Meta and Google. A notice on the website lets you opt out, and we treat a browser Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out. Visitors in Europe and the UK are asked before anything runs. You can also opt out, or ask what we hold about you, by emailing us at the address above. This applies to the website, not to what you enter in the app.
Free, with shopping links
Gift Pilot is free and has nothing to buy, so there are no payments and no purchase records. Some shopping links in the app are affiliate links: when you open one, the store may learn that you came from Gift Pilot, and if you buy, Vilasi, Inc. may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The store's own privacy policy applies once you are on its site. Your people, lists and notes are never sent with a link.
Your choices
You can export or erase everything at any time under Your data. You can also write to us with any question.
Changes
If we add accounts, syncing or anything that sends information off your device, we will update this policy first and ask before it applies to you.
